Minimum Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon 64 processor. I understand more memory and/or power is always better, and going with the recommended system requirements is a no brainer vs the minimum. What I am trying to understand is how Autodesk is wording the requirements. TLDR: Ram is cheap, 16-32 GB seems like a good place to start. My work machine has 32 GB and it is more than enough for the 10-15k (1-3k unique) total occurrence assemblies that I create. I need to max it out at 8 GB (all the motherboard/chipset can fit). ![]() Inventor is ok, but add Windows overhead, a few Internet Browsers, Spreadsheets, PDFs and other programs running at the same time and switching between them becomes painful. My home machine(Win7, old i5 processor, integrated graphics) has 4 GB and it is not enough for anything other than trivial assemblies. ![]()
